When should a child start praying?

1. When prayer becomes obligatory (fard) Salaah becomes obligatory when a child reaches puberty (buloogh). Before that, the child is not sinful for missing prayers. 1. When fasting becomes obligatory (fard) Fasting the month of Ramadaan becomes obligatory only after puberty (buloogh). Before puberty, a child is not sinful for not fasting.
